Pedestrian Killed On Liberty
Keith Anders, 45, was struck and killed by a minivan at 8:50 pm on Wednesday on Liberty Avenue in front of German's Villa, according to the Vermilion Police Department.
Elden Paden III, 40, of Vermilion, was driving a minivan on Liberty and didn't see Anders walking west with his back to traffic. Paden was not cited as he was not speeding and was not intoxicated.
Anders was wearing dark clothing and the section of Liberty Avenue has no street lights.
It has not yet been determined if Anders was intoxicated.
