VHS Bowling Teams Tied For Conference Champions
The VHS bowling teams had an incredible night, as 3 teams are now tied for conference champions. Leading the boys varsity were David Woods with a 237 game and Jake Casto with a 247. All of the varsity girls helped in their win, with Kirsten Neal bowling a 190, Valerie Piskur with a 176, Ali Cunningham solid with games of 180 and 183, and the super 213 rolled by Candis Rooker.
But the wildest match of the night came when the JV girls came from 101 points behind, to tie Admiral King's team. A sudden death roll-off was held, with Emily Rice rising to the occasion in front of a huge crowd watching her and 1 other girl bowl a 9th and 10th frame tie-breaker. Way to go Emily!
The conference champions will be determined at Rebman Rec on Oberlin Ave in Lorain, on Wed. the 30th at 4 pm. Please, Sailors, come to support your teams. Bring your friends and family, dressed in purple, to help us crush North Ridgeville.
