Vermilion Man Found
Hanging Over Cliff
Joseph Szivan, 32, of Vermilion, was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, failure to keep reasonable control of his vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and expired license plates following an incident on Friday night.
A Vermilion city employee plowing Vermilion Road discovered Szivan in a car that was hanging off a cliff, according to the Vermilion Police Department.
His vehicle was resting against a tree near Gilbert Drive, preventing it from going over the cliff.
Officers managed to remove Szivan from the vehicle who had locked himself inside. According to the Police report, Szivan had a strong odor of alcohol and was in possession of drug paraphernalia.
