Vermilion Indoor Storage
Open For Business
Vermilion Indoor Storage for boats and RVs has opened at the former Ford Plant on Baumhart Road. The facility is one of the largest indoor heated storage businesses in the state.
Phil Cable, former manager of Vermilion Power Boats Marina, operates the 100,000 square feet business. Cable wants to meet the need for more affordable indoor storage for boats, RVs, trailers and classic cars. The building will be heated in the winter.
20 customers have already signed up for the service.
Additional outdoor acreage has been purchased and Cable plans to enlarge the facility as the operation grows.
A full service and repair for boats, including shrink-wrap and winterization, is expected to be added to the business.
Vermilion Indoor Storage is now Ohio's largest indoor facility.
The cost for winter storage is $295 per square foot for boats, $128 a month for a 40 foot RV.
Cable resides in Vermilion.
