Navy ROTC Spruces
Up Museum Grounds

This weekend a group or 27 members of Navy ROTC from The Ohio State University arrived at the Inland Seas Maritime Museum in Vermilion for a full day of community service.  They sanded and painted a Cleveland Cliffs logo from a Laker boat, anchors from ships, picnic tables and a door. They raked, weeded, edged and mulched sidewalks and beds on the Museum grounds. The property is now ready for local volunteers to plant 25 flats of donated flowers.

This is the 2nd year the Navy ROTC has come to Vermilion to volunteer.  This year they ended their trip with an Indians game where some of them wore their dress whites in an honor guard on the field.
