Discover Vermilion's hidden history with the Main Street Vermilion Arrowhead Scavenger Hunt. This self guided tour of Vermilion's historic Harbour Town district leads you on a hunt of hidden treasures of Vermilion's past narrated with Little Turtle as your guide.
Welcome to my territory.
My name is Little Turtle,
and I will be your guide. I
have been in this place for
countless moons. I have followed
all the trails, and watched the many
changes of the land. I invite you to
journey through time with me as we
explore this red-clay town called Vermilion,
which grows here where the river meets the lake.
My own tribe has moved on, but I have
remained behind, and I am here to remind
you of our roots and to lead you on a
short trek of discovery. Come and seek
out these places with me. Listen to the
questions and ponder the answers. If you
are a master hunter, are brave and true, you will be rewarded when we reach the end of our search.
Your adenture begins at the Main Street office in downtown Vermilion (685 Main Street, Vermilion, OH 44089) and ends at the Inland Seas Maritime Maritime Museum (480 Main Street, Vermilion, OH 44089.) The scavenger hunt takes approximately 1 hour to complete.
When you have completed the scavenger hunt, bring your complete form to the museum to collect a prize!
