About Spiritwear

In a recent survey, results show that the volume of sales in school spiritwear apparel surpassed the combined total sales of school uniforms and school athletic uniforms.  So what exactly is “School Spiritwear?”  School spiritwear is apparel intended for use by pep clubs, booster clubs, academic clubs, and other school spirit related clothing.  Spiritwear can also include apparel for extracurricular groups, such as gymnastics groups outside of school, or apparel sold by groups for fundraising projects.

History of Varsity Town

Vickie Dyke started Varsity Town in June of 2005 because she felt there was a need in the community to show the players that the towns people support them. What better way than to have the stands filled with PURPLE!

In the past our school had a member of the Booster Club do all the buying of their spiritwear. The Boosters would then sell the apparel at various school events. This worked ok for those people who went to the games but it didn't address young families whose kids needed to wear purple on spirit day. As monies got tighter for the Booster Clubs, Vickie decided to open a store servicing the community on a daily basis. The main color Varsity Town sells is purple and it is a hard color to find in most retail stores.
